The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Junior Press gang is a unique opportunity for young people in schools across Edinburgh to see a showcase of Fringe Performances for Children in advance of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August.

The Evening News is the Media partner for the project and the Bank of Scotland are sponsors for the project. The Junior Press Gang has chosen three companies to take part in the project and perform an excerpt from their show twice daily in 10 schools across Edinburgh during the week Monday 2nd to Friday 6th June 2008.

Pupils will then be supported to take part in a review-writing project and competition with winners' reviews being published in the Evening News.

The three selected companies will each perform an excerpt from their Fringe 2008 show. Each excerpt will be of 10 to 15 minutes duration and include a short introduction and summation at the start and finish. These will create a show of about 1 hour's duration creating and exciting and diverse example of the wonderful things happening at the Fringe this summer.
